Dayana Mendoza Uribe, a former international model and Miss Universe from Venezuela began her career in fashion at the age of 15 to achieve her educational goals and support her family. As an international model, she lived across Europe and the US. At 21, Dayana returned to Venezuela to pursue her studies, however, after much convincing, Dayana took on one final job, competing for the national title of Miss Venezuela. Despite her limited experience in pageantry, she won the national title, which led her to triumph on the world stage, winning the crown of Miss Universe.

After the competition, Dayana faced a challenging political climate in Venezuela, leading her to settle in the US, where she found a myriad of commercial success in fashion and on TV. Dayana also partnered with various non-profit organizations as a volunteer and goodwill ambassador.  

While Dayana achieved much professionally, she found an abundance of joy when she became a mother to her beloved daughter. Shortly after her daughter’s birth, she went through a painful divorce, which led her on a journey seeking healing and restoration through various teachings that ultimately left her in utter darkness.

But God, in His sovereignty, turned what the enemy meant for evil into good. This experience brought  Dayana to the end of herself and to the only true source of healing and restoration: Jesus Christ. Since receiving Jesus as her Lord and Savior,  Dayana and her family have become living testimonies of His miraculous works.

Having been transformed by the goodness of God, Dayana has chosen to dedicate her life and the platform God gave her to proclaiming the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the ends of the earth. 

Dayana holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Montclair State University, where she studied Communications and International Business with a cum laude distinction. Since 2020, Dayana has served as an active member of the leadership team of the Vencedores en Cristo Deliverance Assembly in Newark, New Jersey, where she also began the Spanish-language ministry, Vencedores en Cristo Grupo de Iglesias (VCGI). In 2022, Dayana was ordained as an evangelist within the five-fold ministry and currently also serves in pastoral ministry alongside her husband, Carlos Uribe. Dayana's heart is to bring Christ's healing and restoration to the family and to raise up integral leaders for the Kingdom of God
